New Health Order for Yolo County Health Workers (10-3-23)

On October 3, 2023 the Yolo County Health Officer issued an order for health care workers in Yolo County to receive a seasonal influenza vaccination or to wear a surgical mask in patient care areas during flu season (November 1 through April 30). Read the memo here

In addition, the Health Officer issued a memo strongly recommending that all health care workers in Yolo County receive an updated COVID-19 vaccine. The memo also provides guidance on source control masking in health care settings during the upcoming respiratory virus season. Read the memo here.

Free antigen at-home tests are now available to order and will be delivered directly to your home via mail. Visit http://www.covid.gov/tests or order by phone at 1-800-232-0233.

 

FREE COVID-19 rapid testing kits available at Health and Human Services Agency Office

A free test kit vending machine is available at the Yolo County Health and Services Agency Office in West Sacramento at 500 Jefferson Blvd. There are also limited free home test kits available at Yolo County libraries including the Arthur F. Turner Library in West Sacramento.

There are several other COVID 19 testing options available to the public including at retail pharmacies and through your doctor's office.
  • Molecular Matrix in West Sacramento is also offering testing which is free with health insurance. Rapid tests are available for a fee. Details can be found by visiting the Molecular Matrix website at molecularmatrix.com.
